Walk to school
top picture of the heading right at the corner headed for work packed full of good stores. There is the dry cleaning place, karoke bar, seamstress, hairdresser, real estate agent, chicken place, drugstore and two toystores. Believe it they can fit all of that into two blocks the stores are tiny and they are hard to walk around into.

Hello all,
I just decided to blog here. I am relaxing before i have to start the mad dash to get my lesson plans done and get my report cards in. It is snowing and they are the big puffy ones. It started to snow last night and the kids were very excited. We also had to walk in it on the way from eating gombe/i (I don't know) with most of the faculty. It was Russel's 35th birthday dinner and we had lots of fun. I really love the place we went to it was the fancy restaurant named Korean Restaurant. We had five orders of really good marinated beef, rice, Cinnamon tea and coke. We then had to walk home because the restaurant is not near any major roads that we could have caught a taxi or bus. It was a fun walk and was very refreshing. It was snowing but not all that cold especially if you walked very quickly. I then came home and crashed. Not much else is happening here I'm just reading everyones blog pages and loving looking at my beautiful nieces and nephews.

Life Church
Hello all,
I just visited Life Church here in Bundang. It only took a bus ride and two stops on the subway to get there and that's pretty close. The people there are very nice and I liked the community feel of it. It is about the size of Prairie Home just a little bit more . They sang Breathe, Holy, Holy, Holy, Let Everything That has breath praise the Lord. What was really cool is they sang the songs in English than in Korean and I kinda sang along. I know I butchered the pronunciation but with practice I hope to learn more . The pastor Jack is talking about taking authority through what Christ has let us do and how we need to be using what God has given us and take authority over our lives. He also had a great visual as in how Jesus is both a son of man and Son of God and showed how they could stay in the same body. He compared it to having a aquarium that is split in half, one side is yellow the other side is blue. Then the Crucifixion the divider was taken out and the two halves combined into one. A perfect balance of Godliness and humanness. He also brought to the front that Jesus was human like us and that it is a good thing to have someone who can understand us fighting for us. I really liked this church and am going to bring Emily many Rita next week.

captions
Lianne might post more about the slide show and her recent trip to Thailand, but for now if you want to have a basic idea of where the photos were taken, go here and look at the filenames of the photos. They show Bankok, temples, the Emerald Palace, tigers, an elephant ride, the Bridge over the River Kwai, and the memorial and cemetery. (Click on the plus, minus, or pause buttons to speed up or slow down the slide show.)

Happy New Year fromThailand
(from an email Lianne sent)
I am writing from the airport in Bangkok killing time before we board the plane for Korea. I'm a little excited about sleeping in my own bed but am very sad to leave Phuket. I love it there it is very beautiful and warm. It looks alot like Costa Rica and has the same weather. I have packed a heck of a lot of stuff into 7 days. We went on a boat ride around Bangkok visited three temples, went on an elephant tour, walked on the bridge over the River Kwai and visited the mueseum there. I also got to pet one tiger and partially lay on two more tigers. I also got to take a boat trip to Phi Phi Island and saw where the Island was filmed. The one with Dicaprio. We then snorkeled and ate lunch on the beach. The rest of the time was laying on the beautiful beach and getting partially burned. I got my backside pretty toasted. I fell asleep. Well, I have to run my internet time is running out. I will be celebrating New Year's on the Plane. I hope all of you have a great one.
love your tired and tanned traveler,
Lianne
