My Returne 1.4 class

This is a picture of my Returnee 1.4 class they are all 8 years old. You will recongnize Richard from my first Ik Class. I love that I got to have him again he is such a special little boy. Always happy, friendly, helpful and has excellent mannars. He is very mature for his age and is smart as well. I'll definately will miss this class. We have in Front left Paul, Ryan,Richard, Kevin and Philip. In the back left is Kelly and Michelle. Michelle's mom is the one that nit picks everything thing I do to death. She does the same to her daugher and her daughter is very scared about doing bad on anything or messing up.

More Pics

We had Courtney, another partner teacher, along and I was very thankful for her help in keeping track of my kiddos. She did well on leading us wear to go and helped pick up the stragglers. I took a picture of them at the monkey cage and in the elephant truck. I also have a pic of Anita zonked out on the bus. It was too darn cute not to take a picture.

Zoo Trip

We went to the Seoul Zoo last Wednesday and it was not all that fun. It was very hot and humid and the kids got to see the petting zoo not the actual zoo. We saw tons of goats, pigs, deer and monkeys but no giraffes, elephants, polar bears etc. That Zoo was in another location where we would have had to take the kids on ski lifts to another section and we didn't have enough teachers to go with each chair. The kids were kinda excited but dissapointed and manly just hot and tired.

Five things I love about Jesus

1. Jesus helped make the word and fulfilled the word
2. He is the way, the truth, and the life.
3. Jesus loves everyone and does not pick popular and unpopular sides. He excepts who we are. He is always there and will never turn his back on anyone who asks for his help
4. He doesn't care what others think he tells the truth, even when it is painful. 5. He was separated from his father so I could join with his father.

Had a blast this weekend

Hey all just wanted to share what I did this weekend. Annie came over from Japan to visit but mostly shop. We went to Kangnam,Yongsang, and Itewon. We both bought some nice shirts, dvd's and a nice set of travel speakers for me to use with my laptop so I don't blow out my speakers. it is lightweight, flat and small and sounds better than I expected. I also got to go see Shrek 3 and Pirates this week. I went to Shrek on Monday with Emily and went to Pirates with Annie yesterday. I liked them both alot and found it not so strange to see the Korean subtitles. I thought it might be dubbed with English titles but nope. I noticed that I laughed harder at both movies then my fellow Korean viewers. Bless their heart they don't get sarcasm and playing on words so lots of the jokes and innuendos went right over their heads. It was fun though and I got an aerosol can of green lime deodorant and two bobble heads of Shrek and Donkey. They had a deal two get two cokes a big box of salty popcorn and the bobble heads, didn't really want the deordorant though. But hey I got a baseball hat when I ate at an Indian resturatant. I went through the same travel agent that set up our Thailand trip and their is a four day three night package deal for 860 won to Beijing. It comes with tickets to and from Beijing, private transportation, 4 star hotel, english guided tours and all meals. The itenerary is great wall, Teana Men Square, Forbidden City, a market, Chinese opera and a Chinese circus. Sounds good to me. I have to pay 80 bucks for the tourist visa, it would have had been 40 if I was not from America. Annie has the same time off as well and may join me on this tour. I really hope she can. gottat go
luv ya

Another Transportation Adventure

Rita and I had fun yesterday seeing another part of Korea. We were headed to Yongsan and decided to take the 1005-5 bus there. We got on at the regular bus stop near us and realized we should have gotten on on the other side of the street. We decided to see where it would go so we stayed on. We went to another couple of towns outside Bundang and actually saw the real Korea. It had run down streets and businesses and rice fields. We then headed up to Everland which is an amusement park like Six Flags in Denver. We were then told to get off. We got off and were like okay now what. We figured buses had to go back so we walked around until we found the bus stop where we waited a half hour for out bust driver to take a break. When we got back on the bus driver gave us a big smile and a I know you got on the wrong bus laugh. We then rode back through Bundang and into Seoul which took another 45 minutes. We spent 21/2 hours on a bus but I think it was worth it. I got to see more of the very beautiful mountains and more of Korea that I didn't see before. Sometimes the side trips are better than the destination. We then went shopping and Rita got a psp player and three games and I bought five dvd's one set I was very happy to find it had My Fair Lady and Wait till Night Comes which is a suspenseful murder mystery with Audry Hepburn. I also got Chronicles of Narnia, DOA and Life is Beautiful. I was surprised to find these in Korea. We also went to Dos Tacos and stuffed our face with nacho fries, chicken chimicangas, cheese quesidillas and a beef and avacodo burrito. Man its so goooooood. Sour cream ahhhhhhh! We were tempted to ask if we could just order sour cream to go hahaha.
